Run Hackney: 10 weeks to go!

What better way to hit the 10 weeks-to-go mark for the fast approaching Run Hackney, than seeing 36,000 inspirational runners conquer the whopping 26.2 miles of the 2014 London Marathon. If that isn’t enough motivation to push us through these painful extra miles in training, then we don’t know what is!  June 22nd, EOTO are coming!

Here’s what the team say:

“Training for Run Hackney so far has been a little bit of a struggle, but that was expected. Watching people run the London Marathon this weekend pushed any worries and doubts to the back of my mind and I’m very much looking forward to running the streets of Hackney with thousands of other people, all raising money got great causes!” – Paddy Ellis

“The London Marathon yesterday and the 10 week countdown makes it all feel so much more real now! Watching 36,000 people push themselves through an incredible 26.2 miles yesterday was an inspiring and humbling experience (especially as I was at Mile 21 with the epic Cheer Dem Crew!) and has made me even more focused on making sure that I put in as much effort as I can to make the 13.1 miles of Run Hackney count! I was very lucky to run with the fantastic Run Dem Crew last Tuesday. The 220 strong crew have motivation, drive and positive vibes in abundance and running with others (I had a great group in the Slow Hares) made the 3.5 miles we covered like hanging out with friends. Loving exploring the city and challenging myself in new ways. Got to step it up now and push myself to do longer runs and much less walking. We can do this. Must. Keep. Moving.” –  Sarah McLoughlin

Right so there’s 10 weeks to go until Run Hackney! Scary stuff… After seeing people do the London marathon it inspired me to continue training and raise money for an amazing charity! Please support me by going to my page an donate some money: James-Brown
